The Music Heroes Program will be an incentives and awards program designed to encourage educational development and charitable values. Students can earn music notes (points) by participating in approved activities. There will be many ways to participate. For example, students can perform at a nursing home, children's hospital, veteran's care facility, or other care facility. Another example would be for a student to take a portable keyboard to a care facility and teach free piano lessons to patients. The points and awards will be tracked for all students with a computerized database. Students can earn certificates, ribbons, and trophies.
As part of our charitable and educational purposes, this activity encourages the development of charitable values in students and furthers their study in music education. By providing incentives, the student will be encouraged and guided to giving back to the community through participation in the POP program and in other community volunteer activities.
