The Music Education Scholarship Program will bring together approved scholarship students with an approved music school or approved private music teacher. Music lessons, group classes, ensembles, sheet music and performance opportunities will be available to all scholarship students. Factors for acceptance may include recommendations from teachers stating the student's interest in the performing arts and probable financial hardship. For those students who qualify for financial assistance, full tuition or partial tuition may be provided on a sliding scale. Acceptance to the programs will be fair and unbiased and will not be based on race, color, national origin, age, disability, religious affiliation, gender, sexual orientation, or political views. Approved central Texas music teachers will be assigned scholarship students who live or go to school in their area. This activity will be funded through grants, fundraisers, and donations.
